The spring/fall internship is designed to provide high school students long-term exposure to a specific career path at Textron Aviation. Interns will take part in meaningful business-driven work that creates a pipeline, connecting foundational knowledge with future career goals.
JOB DESCRIPTION BY ROLE:
Under the supervision of the Manager, this position will be responsible for the following based on role.

Manufacturing
Observe machine operations and work from instructions to operate CNC router, furniture building equipment and hand tools. Learn blueprint reading, basic sheet metal, basic machine training

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
middot; Project-based work focused on needs of your area of the business
middot; Data entry, documentation, and record updating
middot; Group work through coordination with other departments
middot; Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues

Requirements: 

middot; Must be a current high school student 16-19 years old; high school junior or senior preferred
middot; Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
middot; Experience navigating web applications/internet search
middot; Excellent note taking and organizational skills
middot; Detail oriented
middot; Problem solving skills
middot; Drive for results
middot; Excellent verbal and written communication
middot; Willingness to learn
