The 3-Pack is Back! 2-inch Standbys Go Digital

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics, a technology company and leader in the design and manufacture of aerospace products, introduces an all-digital version of the company’s popular 2-inch standby package. The new digital standby family features the company’s Flex® Attitude Indicator, Flex® Counter Drum Encoding Altimeter, and Flex® Airspeed Indicator. All three instruments are supported by an Approved Model List (AML) supplemental type certificate (STC) covering more than 180 aircraft models.

“Our original mechanical 3-pack was the most trusted type-certified and STC’d standby of its day. There are thousands of these instruments still flying on aircraft, and they’re ready for an upgrade,” says Van Winter, director of Aftermarket Sales and Support for Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics. “The new Flex digital standbys can be easily installed in one day,” he continues. “There’s no need to cut the panel, and you can utilize the existing secondary or emergency bus. Less downtime means more flying time.”
