JOB TITLE: Aircraft Assembly Mechanic LOCATION: Kinston, NC PAY RATE: $43/hour We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

    Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to assemble and install parts to quality requirements. Complete required data entry to track assembly progression. Perform manual and automated assembly operations and portable machine functions. Handle rework, fabrication, change incorporation, and functional testing during or after assembly. Move and obtain parts, tools, materials, and assemblies as needed. Use precision measuring instruments. Identify and report errors or issues in parts, tools, or assembly procedures. Perform routine minor machine maintenance (e.g., replacing filters, light bulbs, maintaining lubrication/coolant levels). Move products within the manufacturing work area using assigned equipment and complete transactions to advance production. Support continuous workflow by training, coaching, and assisting employees across levels. Document discrepancies per specifications and procedures. Cross-train in inspection and achieve SIA qualification. Employees may also be asked to take on additional duties as required by leadership. Training and certification will be provided when necessary.

Requirements:

    High school diploma or GED Must have aircraft assembly mechanic experience Local candidates strongly preferred Ability to work any assigned shift, including overtime/weekends as needed Ability to stand and work for an entire 8-hour shift Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
