Position PurposeThis position performs maintenance and manufacturing tasks to aircraft, aircraft parts and components in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Erickson Air-Crane (EAC) requirements. Complies with all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures as a team player. Willing and able to work long hours and travel as required to meet company requirements. Provide support to internal and external customers to meet customer requirements.Duties Responsibilities

  • Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, fabrication, manufacturing, maintenance, and assembly of aircraft and aircraft parts, components and wiring. Documenting work per company, customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Install aircraft parts and components to aircraft at the fixed base of operations (FBO) and in the field environment.
  • Read, interpret, and comply with Repair Station Quality Manual, Production Certificate Quality Manual, Standard Operation Procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations, Technical Manuals, Drawings, and Specifications.
  • Document work per company, customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and correct aircraft part and component discrepancies during normal work and if assigned to the field to address Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations.
  • Use tools and equipment, and refer to manuals, drawings and specifications to perform aircraft maintenance and manufacturing
  • Responsible for the care of precision measuring equipment, tools and test equipment and benches.
  • Drive company vehicles or rental vehicles as directed.
  • Work with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and products to perform required tasks.
  • Work in a team environment and follow EAC Guiding Principles.
  • Achieve and maintain task qualifications for all work performed.
  • Troubleshoot and correct aircraft part and component discrepancies during normal work and Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations.
  • Perform administrative duties (e.g. Time entry, DAX, etc.) as required by EAC company and department requirements.
  • Complete all assigned training timely.
  • Order, receive and return parts in accordance with company policies.
  • Travel as required to meet company and customer requirements.
  • Perform Lean, Standard Work and Continuous Process Improvements.
  • Mentor, train and coach new employees when qualified as a mentor or trainer.
  • Perform inspector duties in the area(s) where task qualified.

Requirements: 
  • Install electrical/avionic parts and components to aircraft at the fixed base of operations and in the field environment.
  • 0-3 years level 1 - In aircraft maintenance and manufacturing
  • 4-9 years level 2 - In aircraft maintenance and manufacturing
  • 10 plus years level 3 - In aircraft maintenance and manufacturing. Airframe and/or Powerplant license is a preferred qualification.
  • NOTE: Years of experience determines the base level, but employee must in addition have the knowledge and skills for that level or they will be raised or lowered a level to determine their actual pay grade level.
  • NOTE: Schooling/training is not to be included in years of experience
  • Desired - Airframe and/or Powerplant license, FCC license.
  • Required - High School Diploma or equivalent, Valid Driver's license.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally in an accurately and professionally way. Written documents must be clear and concise
  • Ability to work 40 or more hours per week as directed (overtime, weekends, etc.).
