In this role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining, repairing, and modifying aircraft systems to ensure safety, reliability, and mission readiness.What You’ll DoAs an Aircraft Mechanic – General, you will:

  • Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures, components, and flight systems.
  • Work with engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, landing gear, fuel systems, and power plant systems to diagnose and resolve malfunctions.
  • Interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and manuals to complete precise repairs.
  • Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, sealing, painting, shimming, and preservation of aircraft structures.
  • Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modifications and repairs.
  • Ascend and descend vertical ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ensure safety compliance using Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag systems.
  • Collaborate with mechanics, avionics, and electrical team members to meet cost and schedule goals.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, or structural/mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools and aircraft systems (hydraulic, flight control, fuel, engines, etc.).
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                                

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with E-4B aircraft or depot-level heavy maintenance.
  • Experience operating forklifts and electric powered elevating equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in elevated/confined spaces.
  • Lift up to 35 lbs. (occasionally with a two-person lift).
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing ladders/stands, reaching overhead, and working in noisy environments.
  • Contact with sealants, solvents, metals, and atmospheric conditions.
