The department includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more. This position is located at the LHR Airport in London-Heathrow , UKJob Overview and Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of aircraft maintenance work including servicing, repair, and proper work documentation in accordance with company procedures and specifications
  • May be required to exercise Aircraft Release Authority
  • Demonstrate initiative and leadership to other mechanics

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. Unless subject to a collective bargaining agreement in the country to which an employee is being transferred; the employee retains their original date of employment and company seniority in the new country. Upon transfer, the employee is removed from payroll and benefits in former country and appropriately placed in the salary range and payroll/benefits systems of the new country. Human resources will assist with the terms and conditions of employment in light of labor agreements, collective agreements, country work rules and labor laws. In the new country, the employee is reinstated using the same employee ID, date of employment and company seniority dates.QualificationsRequired:

  • High School diploma or equivalent school leaving certificate
  • Must hold valid aircraft maintenance certificate or equivalent competency for the UK
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Completion of local Mechanic Qualification
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a full UK driving License or be willing to obtain one within probation
  • Must have previous experience in aircraft maintenance
  • Must be flexible to work any shift assigned in a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally for training and meetings as well as be willing to work in other countries to support short term relief or field service recovery missions
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is essential function of the position
  • Must be able to obtain a permanent airside ID for LHR

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Valid FAA AP License or equivalent competency for the UK
