We are seeking experienced Aircraft Structural Mechanics to join a high-impact AC-130 maintenance program. This role involves interior structural work, with some exterior tasks, focused on maintaining and modifying AC-130 aircraft to meet operational standards. Candidates should take pride in their craftsmanship, understand quality expectations, and uphold safety and cleanliness protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and install brackets and doublers on C-130 platforms
- Perform interior structure maintenance and modification
- Execute solid rivet installations with precision
- Understand and apply edge distance principles and structural tolerances
- Follow FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention and ldquo;clean as you gordquo; practices
- Assess work quality beyond relying solely on inspection or QA feedback
- Stand behind your maintenance with accountability and pride
Requirements:
- 5+ years of structural experience on military aircraft
- Familiarity with technical data, maintenance manuals, and blueprint reading
- Prior military aviation or defense contractor experience is a strong plus
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with minimal oversight
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
