We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Teardown Mechanic with a positive attitude to join our team. The Aircraft Mechanic will be responsible for removing commercial aircraft parts from various types of retired aircraft, ensuring industry best practices. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the continued growing success of our team.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Locate, verify, and mechanically remove when approved aircraft parts from aircraft.
  • Clean, write identification tags, and wrap parts removed.
  • Follow procedures for an established work flow.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to cleanliness standards and proper tool storage practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and procedures, including those outlined by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance activities and maximize efficiency.
  • Participate in training programs to stay current with advancements in maintenance techniques.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior mechanics and apprentices as needed if applicable.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to quality control, safety, and professional conduct.
  • Provide fresh ideas to improve the work flow and facility

Requirements: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited aircraft maintenance program preferred.
  • Minimum of at least [1] year of experience working as an aircraft teardown mechanic preferred, preferably with experience on [Regional, B737, and or A319/A320].
  • Proficient in the English language; writing, reading and speaking
  • This position is safety sensitive and adheres to DOT drug and alcohol regulations
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours on occasion and travel as needed.
  • Proficiency with Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to [50] pounds) and work in confined spaces.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating tools and equipment.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
