Aircraft Technician, Beech 1900 Series Aircraft
AIRCRAFT Technician, BEECH 1900 SERIES AIRCRAFT (full time w/ benefits)
Immediate position available in Northeast Florida. Relocation assistance may be available.
Job Summary:
- Mid-career professional.
- Participate in maintenance team efforts to achieve and maintain high aircraft readiness rates.
- Maintain Beech 1900 series aircraft types.
- Set the example in word and deed to establish a culture of safety.
- Conforms and complies with air carrier, FAA and international flight procedures and regulations, ensuring aircraft is airworthy and in compliance with safety management and other policies.
- Coordinate with air carrier dispatch and flight department to ensure all organizational requirements are satisfied.
- Completes initial and periodic training required to maintain compliance with organizational, FAA and international regulations.
- Supports and enforces hazardous material safety, personnel protective equipment usage and environmental stewardship.
- Reports to the Director of Maintenance.
Essential Tasks/Functions:
- Examine and inspect aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, and deicers to locate cracks, breaks, leaks, or other problems.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance.
- Replace or repair worn, defective, or damaged components, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
- Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand or power tools.
- Clean, refuel, and change oil in line service aircraft.
- Accompany aircraft on flights to make in-flight adjustments and corrections.
- Inventory and requisition or order supplies, parts, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare and paint aircraft surfaces.
- Work any shift including unscheduled overtime, nonscheduled workdays and holidays as needed.
- Up to 25% travel to perform AOG and/or phase maintenance on aircraft located at outstations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Professional Licensure: Airframe and Powerplant (A P) License (Required). State Driverrsquo;s License.
- Background: Must pass a commercial background investigation.
- Experience: Five years of prior experience with Beech 1900 series aircraft.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft office: Word, Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Two-year degree in aviation discipline desired.
- Professional Licensure/Certifications: Prior aircraft run up authorization. Inspection Authorization.
- Training: Beechcraft King Air or 1900 series factory training. Pratt Whitney PT-6 series engine factory training. Beechcraft SRM training.
- Experience: Experience in Traxxall maintenance tracking software. Familiar with Beechcraft turbine fleet types 90, 200, 300, B300, 1900D. Collins, Garmin avionics equipment experience. Structural sheet-metal skills.
