High Tide Aviation has an open position to be filled immediately for an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic who is available to join our team. Work schedule is flexible. The position is based at the St. Simons Island Airport in St. Simons Island, GA with occasional travel.
Duties:

  • Aircraft servicing (fuel, oil, cockpits, cleaning inside and outside, detailing).
  • Scheduled maintenance (50 and 100 hr. inspections).
  • Oil and filter changes.
  • Tire changes, brake servicing.
  • Avionics troubleshooting.
  • Strong piston background is preferred.
  • Compensation based on experience.
Requirements: 
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)
  • General Aviation Experience.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and available to work 40 hours a week.
  • Knowledge and skill using online maintenance manuals and looking up parts components.
  • Complete all work order paperwork related to tasks performed with detailed documentation, in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company practices in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and proceed in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Handle and resolve technical issues and problems.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule.
  • Independently make critical decisions regarding aircraft safety.
  • Must be able to perform all maintenance functions unsupervised, at any time.
  • Meet all FAA and Safety Requirements.
  • Comparable experience with the following types of aircraft:
  • Cessna 172
  • Beechcraft Baron BE-55
  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred but not required.
