AIRFRAMES/HYDRAULICS QA REPRESENTATIVE (KEY) O-LEVEL TASK DESCRIPTION: The incumbent of this task assists in implementing the KAMP throughout the O-Level airframes and hydraulics work centers at AAJB. TASK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Review technical publications and directives and prepares or assists in preparation of required maintenance instructions.
  • Monitor the CDI/CDQAR program and review personal qualifications of nominees for CDI and CDQAR designation.
  • Investigate hazard reports, and assist in the preparation of various problem related reports.
  • Assist production personnel and conduct final inspections where required.
  • Perform periodic inspections to evaluate performance.
  • Analyze information from accumulated Maintenance Data in developing discrepancy trends to identify failure areas and other maintenance problems. Review source documents and periodic inspection records and note recurring discrepancies requiring special action.
  • Review all Engineering Investigation requests, QDRs, TPDRs, Aircraft Discrepancy Reports, Hazardous Material Reports, Explosive Mishap Reports, and Conventional Ordnance Discrepancy Reports to ensure they are accurate, clear, and concise prior to mailing.
  • Familiar with the use of common and peculiar support equipment. Ensure production personnel have such equipment available, in operating condition, calibrated if applicable, and in use.
  • Support OJT and cross training of KAF personnel.
  • MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of five (5) yearsrsquo; experience as an O-Level F/A-18 Airframes/Hydraulic Technician.
  • Minimum of two (2) yearsrsquo; experience as an O-Level F/A-18 Airframes/Hydraulics QA Representative.
  • Proficient in the use of all airframes/hydraulics tools, support equipment and publications, and capable of performing all functions required of an O-Level airframes or hydraulics technician.
  • Thoroughly familiar with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program as described in COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series.
  • Must be computer literate and familiar with commercial word processing programs.
  • No security clearance required.
