Skyborne Opportunity
We are looking for skilled and talented A P Mechanics to maintain and repair the equipment needed to make planes operate safely. This includes the repair, inspection, and maintaining the structural, mechanical, and electronic elements of the aircraft, replacing parts, measuring wear, and assessing whether parts need repair or replacement.   • Ensuring consistent quality of workmanship.
  • Performing aircraft maintenance and repairs in accordance with applicable:
    • Federal Aviation Regulations.
    • Company and repair station manuals.
    • Company and department policies.
    • FAA ASAP and Skyborne SMS Programs.
Requirements: 
  • 2+ years of General Aviation experience with 100-hour, annual inspections, sheet metal repairs, troubleshooting systems, and replacement of parts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Airframe and Power plant license required.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Attention to detail.
  • General knowledge and use of hand tools.
  • Must be able to read and understand technical manuals.
  • Must be able to work and interact with other mechanics and supervisors in a professional manner.
  • Familiar with firefighting and first aid equipment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school degree/GED and/or some College degree from a two (2) year college or technical school preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience; equivalency yearsrsquo; experience must be in a related field.
  • Contingent to employment, all candidates must pass a drug screening and background check, along with TSA badging if required for your role.

SOFTWARE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • General knowledge of the following software: Microsoft Office Programs and other software programs may be required, as needed.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner.
  • Type/keyboard 40+ wpm (computer user with minimum typing/keyboarding skills), preferred.

  • Full-time position, must be flexible working weekends.
  • The starting salary is $30.00 per hour, (DOE).

  • PTO - 18 days, plus 5-Sick Days.
  • Holidays - 9 days.
  • Skyborne is also offering our A P Mechanics with 1 year of service the opportunity to obtain their Private Pilotrsquo;s license. We will accommodate time and cost for you to complete ground school training, a value of $12,000. You will also have at your disposal our highly qualified and talented Certified Flight Instructor to support and guide you through your flight training.
