Aero Product Component Services Receives HUBZone Certification from SBA

The Small Business Administration has certified Aero Products Component Services, Inc. as a HUBZone small business concern effective May 6, 2013. The Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Program stimulates economic development and creates jobs in urban and rural communities by providing Federal contracting preferences to small HUBZone certified businesses. These preferences go to small businesses that obtain HUBZone certification in part by employing staff that live in a HUBZone. The company must also maintain a “principal office” in one of these specially designated areas. The program resulted from provisions contained in the Small Business Reauthorization Act of 1997.

“We are very pleased to have received this important certification from the Small Business Administration. Given the challenging economic environment that exists today, programs which reduce unemployment and help workers improve their skills and capabilities, take on added importance”, says Ted Johnson, Aero Products president.
