ALTO Aviation introduces ALTO Acapella™ Baker DECU Replacement Keypads

ALTO Aviation announces the introduction of a new retrofit DECU upgrade solution specifically designed to update Legacy IFE systems, totally independent of CMS.

The ALTO Acapella™ Baker DECU Replacement Keypads provide customers with a high-end audio solution, and eliminates the expense of changing the current cabin interior arrangement by re-using existing mounting provisions. It does not require interior modifications. A majority of these aircraft feature legacy equipment and the former Baker Headphone and Speaker Digital Electronic Control Units (DECU’s). ALTO new solution is 100% fit compatible with the existing Baker DECU panel.

The headphone panel upgrade allows each passenger to enjoy the most advanced listening experience using next ALTO headphone controllers. Up to 4 sources may be supported at each location, with independent source selection and volume control.

The new speaker DECU allows the former IFE system to be upgraded using 2 new keypad options, a 4 button with no auxiliary input and a 4 button with auxiliary input for an additional source. The buttons connect directly to an ALTO Acapella™ Series Amplifier.

This solution offers an integrated audio/video control compatible with an industry monitor provider, ideal for single and multiple HD monitor upgrades. A cover bezel is available for the DECU replacement. This allows for new plating or accommodating a new flush mounted panel.
