Baker Aviation Receives ARG/U.S. Platinum Safety Rating

Fort Worth, Texas - Baker Aviation recently completed the Aviation Research Group/U.S. (ARG/U.S.) two-day audit for its Part 135 Air Carrier Operation. The successful completion of the audit resulted in Baker Aviation being awarded the platinum safety rating from ARG/U.S., which is the highest rating a 135 Charter Operator can receive. Out of the nearly 2,500 nationwide Part 135 operators, only four percent have achieved a platinum rating.

“Safety, service and value are the essential elements of our operation, and the ARG/U.S. platinum rating is an affirmation of our commitment to excellence,” says Marty Dyer, director of operations at Baker Aviation. “As our company grows, we will continue to strive for superior standards in all that we do, and we are extremely optimistic about the future of Baker Aviation.”

The audit consisted of an in-depth review of all of Baker Aviation’s manuals, procedures, safety management systems, FAA compliance, and general company-wide practices. The aspects of operation covered by the audit included maintenance, flight operations and charter procedures. After reviewing all of these elements, the auditors concluded that Baker Aviation met all of the stringent criteria to pass the inspection, and the platinum safety rating was recommended. The official rating was awarded in late July 2012.

A Wyvern-registered charter operation, Baker Aviation’s current fleet consists of a Citation 650, Beechjet 400A and a recently-added Hawker 800A.
