CAE inaugurates Hawker Beechcraft King Air 350 ProLine 21 training in Australia
Melbourne, Australia - CAE recently inaugurated pilot and maintenance technician training programs in Melbourne for the Hawker Beechcraft King Air 350 aircraft with ProLine 21 avionics. Minister for Technology and Minister for Aviation of the Victorian State Government Gordon Rich-Phillips, aircraft operators, industry representatives and CAE employees attended the inauguration.
The program features a new CAE 5000 series full-flight simulator, which was qualified to Level D standards by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). In addition to business aircraft operators, the new King Air 350 simulator will be used for training military pilots.
Located in the Ansett Aviation Training facility, the CAE Melbourne location is part of CAE's expanding business aviation training network.
"Australia has been strategically important to CAE for many years. We delivered our first simulator to the country nearly 25 years ago and since then we have sold more than 30 civil aviation and military simulators in the region. Today we provide training services in Sydney and Melbourne and operate two ab initio flight schools," says Jeff Roberts, CAE's group president of civil simulation products training and services. "Business aviation is an essential part of the transport system in Australia, and CAE is committed to offering its customers world-class training close to home."
