eMan Goes Live

Dunfermline, Scotland - AviIT Ltd announces that its library management and document distribution solution, eMan, has been successfully deployed to support the European aircraft service and repair operations of MRO services provider airberlin technik.

The eMan implementation provides airberlin technik with the ability to ensure that only the current version of aircraft servicing documentation is available to its in-house, remote and third-party service operations. eMan is hosted at AviIT’s Edinburgh data center and provides airberlin technik librarians with a high-availability cloud-based environment for the management and distribution of technical and process documentation.

“With over 1,800 staff and 12 locations across Germany alone, we take the challenges of managing the effective distribution of technical publications very seriously,” says Markus Krüger, head of technical documentation at airberlin technik. “We selected eMan as it was a perfect fit with an intuitive user interface for both our librarian and engineering teams. eMan also allows us to provide subcontractors with controlled access to relevant document sets, simplifying the engagement of third parties."
