Gulfstream And FlightSafety Offer Complimentary Ground Handling Training To Select Fixed-Based Operators

Las Vegas - Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. and FlightSafety International recently announced a new chapter in their training partnership to address the importance of proper aircraft ground handling and servicing during transient operations.

For a limited time, the FlightSafety eLearning course, G350/G450/G500/G550/G650 Ground Handling and Servicing, will be available to fixed-based operator (FBO) personnel at no charge to reinforce how ground handlers should move and service Gulfstream aircraft. This collaborative initiative targets FBOs that provide support for large-cabin Gulfstream aircraft.

The course covers all facets of handling and servicing, including parking, aircraft safety walk around, fueling, towing and mooring, water servicing, lavatory servicing, window cleaning, and snow and ice removal. Best practices developed and used are explained and demonstrated in detail.

“Ramp safety is something that needs to be continually reinforced,” says Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream Product Support. “This course, which has been updated to include the G650, is a thorough review of how to keep our business jets — and the people who service them — safe. Our goal is to reduce aircraft damage, avoid schedule delays and improve dispatch availability for the Gulfstream fleet.”

FBOs that participate in this program will receive a plaque to display at their facility and will be recognized on Gulfstream’s customer Web site, myGulfstream.com, and in customer publications.

FBO personnel interested in the course should contact Kimberly Scott, scheduler at Gulfstream Total Technical Training, at (912) 965-5965.
