Gulfstream names Scott Neal Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales

Savannah, GA  — Scott Neal, 45, a 17-year Gulfstream veteran and top sales executive in both the Eastern and Central U.S. sales regions, has succeeded Larry Flynn as head of the company’s worldwide sales and marketing organization. Flynn became Gulfstream president on September 1, 2011.

“Scott knows the company, the product and the people of Gulfstream and has a superb reputation outside the company,” says Flynn. “His tremendous knowledge of Gulfstream products and services will be a definite asset to our customers, who can leverage his knowledge to enhance their flight operations. Scott has earned the respect of his customers throughout North America, and I know he’ll do the same internationally. I could not be more pleased to announce this appointment and to welcome Scott to the Gulfstream leadership team.”

Most recently, Neal served as division vice president for the Central U.S., a position he held since early 2010. From 1998 until 2010 he had sales and sales management responsibilities in both the South Central U.S. and Northeast U.S., consistently increasing market share in each region.

In his earlier years at Gulfstream, Neal served in the pre-owned aircraft sales and sales engineering groups. Prior to joining Gulfstream, Neal held positions of increasing responsibility at Raytheon Corporate Jets and British Aerospace Inc.

Commenting on his new duties, Neal says: “It’s an honor to join the distinguished leadership team of Gulfstream at an exciting time in the history of this great company. The upcoming entry into service of the new G650 and new G280 will position Gulfstream to continue our worldwide growth. Gulfstream is justifiably viewed as the top business aviation brand; that’s a reputation we want to build on as we focus on both mature markets and emerging markets around the world.”

Neal is a 1989 graduate of George Mason University with a degree in business administration. While there, he played midfield and forward for four years for the George Mason Patriots, a nationally ranked Division I soccer team.

“Scott is a competitive player and understands team dynamics,” reflects Flynn. “That is certain to lead him to success in this new role.”
