Hartzell Engine Technologies and Lamar Technologies Exchange Non-Core Product Lines
Hartzell Engine Technologies LLC of Montgomery, AL, and Lamar Technologies LLC of Marysville, WA, recently executed a transaction to exchange certain product lines within their respective portfolios. Hartzell has sold to Lamar its electronics business unit, consisting of voltage regulators, overvoltage sensors, master control unit (MCU) and battery analyzer products. Lamar has sold its starter and alternator product lines to Hartzell.
The transaction helps both businesses strengthen focus on their core product lines. The exchange includes all intellectual property and manufacturing assets associated with the transferred products. Both companies also exchanged inventory to sustain deliveries while they work to obtain the necessary FAA approvals.
“Hartzell Engine Technologies welcomed the opportunity to add products to our already best-in-class starter and alternator product lines," said Mike Disbrow president of Hartzell Engine Technologies. "The product line swap we’ve executed with Lamar plays to each of our strengths and the industry will benefit from better service and support for these products.”
“Lamar and Hartzell are committed to the GA market and this move allows both organizations to focus on supplying the highest quality and most innovative products within our respective market segments," said Gary Hoffman, general manager of Lamar Technologies. "We are looking forward to a long-term, mutually-beneficial working relationship with our counterparts at Hartzell.”
