Helicopter Specialties, Inc. Receives MedDeck Litter Kit STC

Helicopter Specialties, Inc. announces it has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the installation of a Lifeport, Inc. MedDeck Litter Kit in the Enstrom 480B rotorcraft. The PMA Kit requires minimal modification to the aircraft and can be installed by Helicopter Specialties or shipped to any location in the world. The first two installations were performed for a customer in Argentina. The ease of installation and removal of this kit will allow customers to add multi-mission capability to their Enstrom 480B.

Helicopter Specialties, Inc. is an FAA Certified Repair Station with 24 models of Airbus, Bell, Enstrom, AgustaWestland, MD and Robinson helicopters on its repair station certificate. Its capabilities include heavy maintenance and inspections, aircraft paint, structural and composite repairs, custom interiors and cabinetry, avionics/airframe electrical installations, on-site support, and in-house engineering. Established in 1999, Helicopter Specialties’ facilities encompass two modern hangars at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport.
