H+S Aviation Marks Successful Year of Service on PT6T Engines

Dallas - H+S Aviation, a member of the BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) group of companies, reports a banner year of operations as the Portsmouth, UK-based company added test cell services to its PT6T Twin-Pac capabilities. Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6T Twin-Pac engines are used on Agusta/Bell Model 412, Bell 212 and Sikorsky S-58T helicopters. H+S Aviation is a Pratt & Whitney Canada-authorized PT6T Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility (DDOF).

“We finalized EASA certification of our PT6T test cell in January of last year. That gave us complete in-house service capability from inspection to overhaul to test,” says ERO president Hugh McElroy. “Combined with our rental unit availability and LRU capability, we offer operators a full range of service and support on the Twin-Pac. Our results thus far have confirmed to us that our entry into this program in Europe has been successful and we anticipate that 2012 will continue to see further growth in the region as our field service activities expand.”

H+S Aviation services PT6T customers across Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and Australasia. As a DDOF, it is authorized to provide full engine overhaul and repair, as well as 2,500-hour gearbox inspections. Rental units are available to support customer removals.

H+S Aviation also provides field service technicians who are part of the F1RST SUPPORT network and who are ready and equipped to travel throughout the globe to perform repair and inspection services. Twin-Pac field service technicians are strategically positioned in the United Kingdom, Dubai, South Africa and India.
