LED Landing and Taxi Lights

Whelen Engineering Co. has received STC approval for its Parmetheus™ series LED landing and taxi lights, a first for general aviation aircraft.

The LED as a light source is revolutionizing aviation lighting. It represents many improvements over existing light sources. Long life, vibration resistance, low current draw, no EMI/RFI emissions and no external power modules are just a few of the advantages.

This STC approval will allow replacement of existing incandescent, halogen and high intensity discharge (HID) lights without aircraft modification or the need for field approvals. A listing of all approved aircraft installations is available at www.whelen.com.
