Precision Turbines Announces First STC
Orlando, FL - Boca Raton, FL-based Precision Turbines announces major developments in its MRO programs for government agencies, introduced its first STC, and used its presence at the recent NBAA Convention in Orlando to raise money for charities supporting U.S. military veterans.
“Our motto is Aviation Beyond Business,” says Precision Turbines president and founder Robert Spahr. “That extends to our dedication to providing the highest quality of service to our customers, and to giving back to the community. We were delighted to be highlight both of those commitments at NBAA.”
Precision Turbines’ specialties include MRO support for government fleet operators. At NBAA it announced its contractor logistics support (CLS) agreement for the government’s C-38 VIP light jets is being adopted as standard procedure under the Air Force Smart Operations for the 21st-century (AFSO21) initiative, and that its CLS agreement for overhauling the engines of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Twin Otter fleet has been extended.
Precision Turbines also announced its first STC which is aimed at Citation II operators. The STC allows Precision Turbines to replace the Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-4 engines on Citation II jets with JT15D-4B engines without time limits. The -4B engines are more readily available and can be run at higher N1 temperatures than the -4 variants, providing more efficiency and a greater operating margin.
“This STC significantly expands the pool of replacement engines for Citation II operators and gives them more options in managing their engines at every stage of the lifecycle,” says Spahr.
Precision Turbines accepted donations for the Pat Tillman Foundation and the Wounded Warriors Project at its NBAA booth and matched all contributions.
