ROGER WASSMUTH JOINS UNICAL AVIATION AS VICE PRESIDENT, MILITARY DIVISION

Roger Wassmuth has joined Unical Aviation Inc. to lead and expand its newly formed Military Division.

As vice president, Military Division, Wassmuth is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy that will drive sales and fuel aggressive growth. In addition to leading the organization, key areas of focus will include establishing partnerships, license and distribution agreements, and sustainment and repair programs. Under Wassmuth’s leadership, Unical has already signed multiple license agreements with United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS), most recently for key F-16 systems and components.

“Roger’s vision, enthusiasm and track record of success are second-to-none,” says company founder and president Han Tan. “We are pleased to welcome him and know he will play a key role in advancing our vision as the premier aerospace provider to the global market.”

Wassmuth’s background includes 35 years of military and commercial aerospace experience, starting with the U.S. Navy and, later, the U.S. Air Force Air National Guard. He joined Kaman Aerospace Corporation in 1984 and most recently led business and strategic alignment initiatives for the Power Controls & Sensing Systems military organization at United Technologies Aerospace Systems. Throughout his career, Wassmuth has held positions of increasing responsibility in business development, customer support, program management and new aircraft entry-into-service programs.

Wassmuth holds a bachelor’s of science degree in professional aeronautics and master’s degree in aerospace management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
