Shadin Avionics Announces Canadian Acceptance of Fuel Management STC for Bell 212 / 412

Shadin Avionics announces Transport Canada approval of a foreign Supplemental Type Certificate for the installation of a Shadin Fuel Management Kit into Bell 212 and 412 model helicopters.

The Canadian acceptance of the Bell 212/412 STC enables Shadin fuel systems to be installed in Canadian-registered aircraft further enhancing Shadin’s well established portfolio of Fuel Management System STCs that includes installations for other Bell, Eurocopter, and MD Helicopters. This STC enables the installation of the Shadin fuel flow transducer that supports Shadin’s Engine Trend Monitor (ETM), Digiflo, Miniflo, Microflo, Digidata, and Air Data Computers (ADC) as well as glass displays from other manufacturers.

“Shadin continues to invest in our Fuel Management Systems and the geographical regions for which they can be applied,” states Trevor Lund, Shadin Avionics Product Manager. “We look forward to working with Bell helicopter owners to improve flight performance and safety with our Fuel Management Systems.” Shadin has partnered with Aero Dynamix to upgrade any of their displays to be NVG compatible and is pursuing EASA approval for the Bell 212/412 Fuel Management Kit installation.
