TUI Airlines and Lufthansa Technik agree on partnership

Lufthansa Technik AG becomes technical service partner for the aircraft fleet of TUI Airlines. TUI Airlines and Lufthansa Technik have negotiated and signed an appropriate Letter of Intent (LOI). The holiday airlines of the worldwide largest travel company, TUI operates a fleet of about 140 medium- and long-range aircraft, mainly Boeing 737,757, 767 and 787.

In the future, Lufthansa Technik will support the internal overhaul and maintenance business units of the holiday airlines as its new service provider for aircraft overhaul services. In case of reaching the capacity limits within its own organization, the holiday airlines of TUI will utilize Lufthansa Technik. The air traffic of a holiday travel company like TUI is significantly seasonal. Lufthansa Technik can ideally support the TUI airlines to absorb seasonal peaks.
