Aerotek is looking to hire Assembly Technicians to assemble and build landing gear and landing gear componets! Job Title: Assembly TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Assembly Technician will perform a variety of maintenance and repair functions, including receiving and preliminary inspections, pre-disassembly testing, disassembly, cleaning, minor inspections, and repairs.Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving and preliminary inspections of components.
  • Conduct pre-disassembly testing to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Disassemble components as per technical specifications.
  • Clean and inspect minor components for wear and damage.
  • Execute repairs and treat parts according to technical guidelines.
  • Requisition necessary parts for completion of assembly.
  • Conduct pre-assembly and sub-assembly testing.
  • Document each phase of maintenance accurately and comprehensively.
  • Assemble and build-up Boeing MD-80/DC-9, Boeing 7-Series, and Goodrich Q-400/CRJ landing gear and components following diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, OEM CMM/OHMs, work order/traveler instructions, and customer requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant assembly and/or maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and electrical tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and specifications manuals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Vocational or trade school experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an aviation parts manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.
  • Possession of an A & P License or FAA Repairman license.
