AVIATE with Shaesta, a Platform for Women in Aviation, Launches Successfully

Shaesta Waiz, the youngest woman to fly solo around the world in a single-engine aircraft, announces her new platform, AVIATE with Shaesta, designed for women in aviation to simply express themselves. AVIATE — acronym for Acknowledge, Vocalize, Inclusion, Act, Travel, Evolve – represents the foundational themes Waiz uses to shape her conversations with some of the world's leading women in aviation and aerospace, across various media outlets.
Launching the platform with a podcast, AVIATE with Shaesta brings some of the most interesting women together — trailblazers, record-setters, adventurers, entrepreneurs, mothers — in order to have unguarded conversations about what it means to be a woman, particularly in aviation. Season One of the podcast debuted non-exclusively across all podcast platforms on July 30, 2021.
“By sharing the moments that challenge, test, empower and propel us along our careers, we can better define what it means to be a woman in aviation,” Waiz says. “It is time for us to get together and surface some of the long-standing challenges women face in our beloved industry. This is how we build more understanding and empathy for one another.”
Tune in for episodes on topics ranging from mental health, motherhood, self-advocacy, innovation and charting new horizons. An array of special guests includes Nicole Stott, Dr. Ellen Stofan, Stephanie Chung, Sue Sommers, Ariel Tweto, Patty Wagstaff and more, each joining the record-setting pilot for conversation.
Atlantic Aviation serves as the first season’s premiere sponsor.
“Atlantic is proud to sponsor this platform that recognizes the challenges, contributions and rewards that woman have experienced in this industry,” says Sue Sommers, senior VP of Sales and Marketing, Atlantic Aviation.
