Contract Opportunities: NO temps here-with Ōnin, you are a Teammate from day one! Whether your journey with us lasts two days or two years, we value your contribution.As a Structures Technician, here is what youll be doing at the core, day to day.

  • Perform thorough inspection of aircraft structures, identifying and documenting any signs of damage or wear.
  • Comply with environmental health, safety policies, and procedures.
  • Execute sheet metal repairs and modifications on various structural components, including but not limited to the wing, fuselage, and tail sections.
  • Fabricate and/or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.
  • Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical removals and installations as required.
  • Interpret and follow aircraft maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Assist with complex structural repairs on/off aircraft.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure accurate repairs and compliance with aviation regulations.
  • Inspect confined areas of airframe.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to aviation structural maintenance.

Heres what is required to succeed as a Structures Technician.

  • Minimum of 1 year of structural sheet metal repair and modification experience or sustained similar experience.
  • Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience preferred.
  • CRJ airframe experience a plus.
  • MRO experience a plus.
  • Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience preferred.
  • Completed Sheetmetal A/C Tech school or equivalent schooling is preferred.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A P) or Airframe (A) License is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of aircraft structures and materials.
  • Able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Possess (basic) set of tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate aircraft maintenance actions both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be comfortable with shift work; we are a 24/7 operation with 12-hour shifts which include days, nights, and weekends.
  • Comfortable working with technology / entering aircraft maintenance actions into a computer-based system.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if applicable.
