Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

    Provide technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and repairing discrepancies to minimize schedule impact. May serve as backup to the Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician, supporting company goals in safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and aircraft systems. Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems per engineering drawings, specs, and manuals. Troubleshoot and resolve system/process issues to ensure high-quality, efficient repairs. Use industry-accepted repair techniques, including soldering, splicing, and pinning. Incorporate engineering changes and modifications as required. Set up and operate test equipment; conduct functional and reliability testing. Ensure all work is properly documented and ready for inspection. Test and maintain electronic systems and related test equipment. Adhere to FOD, tool control, 5S, and safety programs. Adapt to schedule changes as needed. May participate in aircraft certification and final phase flight testing. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

    High School Diploma or GED required. Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling plus two (2) years of related experience. FAA A&P license preferred. FCC and/or NCATT certifications preferred. Proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structures) is preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
