Avotek Publishes ACS-centered Book Series

Avotek publishes a series of aviation maintenance textbooks in response to the new FAA Part 147 training requirements for aviation maintenance schools. The series follows the FAA’s Aviation Mechanic Airman Certification Standards (ACS), which Avotek used as a roadmap to create more than 2,100 pages of general, airframe, and powerplant material.

The new Avotek series covers subjects missing from some of the current textbooks and handbooks of other publishers and organizations. Training topics are also streamlined, avoiding the need to jump from book to book and easing the workload for instructors, curriculum designers, and administrators with its one-to-one mapping of ACS subjects.

The four books contained in the series are:

  • Aviation Mechanic — General
  • Aviation Mechanic — Airframe Volume 1
  • Aviation Mechanic — Airframe Volume 2
  • Aviation Mechanic — Powerplant.

The books are now available and can be ordered by calling 800-828-6835 or by emailing sales@avotek.com.
