Baker Aviation Breaks Ground on New Facility to Centralize Operations in Fort Worth

Baker Aviation, a full-service aircraft maintenance, management and charter company in North Texas, announces construction is now underway for two new hangars with immediate plans to centralize and expand operations at the Fort Worth, Meacham International Airport (KFTW).

The Baker Aviation Maintenance business will move its FAA Part 145 Repair Station from Addison, TX, to the Fort Worth headquarters location next month as part of the master plan. The new 30,500-square-foot maintenance hangar is projected to be completed by November 2019. Adjacent to the maintenance hangar will be a state-of-the-art facility for the Baker Aviation Part 135 charter and aircraft management business, measuring 35,850 square feet, with a completion date of January 2020.

Ray Goyco, Jr., president and COO of Baker Aviation Maintenance, explains, “This is a terrific opportunity for us to carry out our strategy to further expand the Baker operation. Just seven years ago we established the 145 Repair Station and quickly expanded into three hangars at the Addison airport, 30 miles from here. Our success was built on diversifying our maintenance platforms and product offerings with the support of the Baker family and their belief in investing in the future. This new complex sets the landscape for longevity and stability for Baker Aviation for years to come. In addition, this commitment represents the Baker’s willingness to pursue success through the investment in people, infrastructure and facilities needed to compete at a higher level than ever before. As we centralize our operations, our existing infrastructure will remain intact, including the experienced and talented team of employees that are familiar to our clients. We look forward to working cohesively as a team in our new location as we join forces to grow and expand this dynamic organization."

“Everyone at Baker is very excited about our new facilities,” says Stan Baker, III, president of Baker Aviation. “We envisioned taking this next step as part of our plan to build the management business as we quickly outgrew our current space here in Fort Worth. The new headquarters and hangar complex will allow us to continue our growth and expand our reach globally with the addition of larger aircraft. Thankfully, our devotion to operating at the highest standards of quality has afforded us a stable and continuously growing client base which now warrants us moving forward with this expansion."

Located at the east side of the KFTW airport, the new Baker Aviation complex will include two state-of-the-art hangars, both with 28-foot-high hangar doors to accommodate the largest business aircraft flying today. The charter/management facility will feature a spacious lobby and break area for arriving and departing clients. The maintenance hangar will include a climate-controlled working environment and a parts bay.
