Banyan Completes HondaJet APMG Install
Banyan Air Service completes its first HondaJet Advanced Performance Modification Group (APMG) package, which was developed by Honda Aircraft to offer improved performance and avionics capabilities to owners of the HA-420 HondaJet.
The APMG package modifies a HondaJet into a better-performing HondaJet. The APMG package provides the aircraft with a take-off field-length reduction of 443 feet to 3,491 feet; forward baggage-capacity increased to 200 pounds; and an increased maximum take-off weight of 10,700 pounds, resulting in more mission flexibility.
Modifications include the extension of the horizontal stabilizer, removal of vortex generators on the tail and winglets, and elimination of the mid-aileron fence. It also includes many upgrades, including Garmin G3000 avionics software upgrades that enhance situational awareness and safety; increased connectivity with Flight Stream 510 compatibility; an electronic checklist; and advanced integrated take-off and landing (TOLD) calculations.
Banyan’s MRO team provides complete services for the HondaJet, including inspections, structural modifications, engine services, avionics installations of Wi-Fi and high-speed data, and Garmin G3000 service and repair. The avionics team has also completed numerous installations of the Gogo AVANCE™ L3 Wi-Fi system which provides in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity for the HondaJet.
Banyan Air Service, based at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, is the exclusive HondaJet Sales and Service center for Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee.
