Tampa Bay Aviation is now hiring a full-time full time FAA certificated A P technician working on mainly single engine reciprocating engine aircraft for our FAA part 141 Flight School. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE GENERAL AVIATION EXPERIENCE WITH AT LEAST ONE YEAR HANDS ON RECIPROCATING ENGINE EXPERIENCE AS AN A P.

Inspection Authorization is a plus. Experience on the following aircraft make/models are a plus:
FIXED WING :

  • Cessna
  • Piper
  • Tecnam

HELICOPTERS

  • Robinson R22/R44

POWERPLANTS

  • Lycoming
  • Continental
  • Rotax

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and address squawk issues
  • Perform maintenance in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements, and specifications established by the Company, aircraft manufacturers, and FAA as contained in approved maintenance manuals
  • Taxi and run up aircraft
  • Perform 50/100 Hour and Annual Inspections
  • Determine airworthiness of aircraft and components, IAW established procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
  • Assure completeness of all assigned work documents and records and assist in the cleanup of the maintenance work area

Requirements: 
  • Schedule flexibility as we are a 364 day/year operation
  • Possess all tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot aircraft systems effectively and with minimal supervision
  • Must demonstrate the maturity, judgment and analytical ability to perform all aspects of aircraft maintenance and preventive maintenance on fleet aircraft
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations as they relate to aircraft maintenance and our fleet
  • Able to lift, carry, or move aircraft components as needed and work in outdoor/hangar environment
  • Familiarity with use of Flight Schedule Pro Maintenance Hub is a plus

Candidates MUST HAVE:

  • Valid FAA A P Certificate
  • One year hands on reciprocating engine experience

Experience on the following aircraft is a plus:

  • Robinson R22/R44
  • Cessna 172
  • Piper Archer, Arrow, Tecnam P2006T
