
Eastman Turbo Oils 2197 and 2380 Receive Approval for CFM LEAP-1A Engines

Eastman Chemical Company announces it has received approval from engine manufacturer CFM International for use of Eastman Turbo Oils 2197 and 2380 in the CFM* LEAP-1A engine, one of the two options for the Airbus A320neo.
Manufacturer-conducted CFM LEAP-1A engine tests using Eastman Turbo Oil 2197 and 2380 confirmed positive lubrication system performance, oil sample results and lube system diagnostics as expected. The performance during this testing resulted in Eastman Aviation Solutions receiving approval on Eastman Turbo Oil 2197 and 2380 from CFM International for use with LEAP-1A engines.

Eastman Turbo Oil 2197 is designed to exceed the demands of current and future jet engines and is by far the most widely used HTS fleet oil in the world. Qualified to MIL-PRF-23699 HTS Class and SAE AS5780 HPC Class, Eastman Turbo Oil 2197 has logged over 350 million hours of operation in the past two decades.
Eastman Turbo Oil 2380 is a standard performance lubricating oil qualified for MIL-PRF-23699 STD Class and SAE AS5780 SPC Class. Eastman Turbo Oil 2380 has logged well over a billion hours of operation.
