ONE Aviation™ Joins with Ascension Air for Personally Flown Timeshare Program

ONE Aviation partners with Ascension Air of Atlanta, GA, to launch Contrails, a new personally-flown jet timeshare program featuring the Eclipse 550 twin-engine jet. Ascension Air will be adding the Eclipse to its current fleet of Cirrus aircraft that are managed under a similar timeshare, lease, or jet card framework. The program includes participants being type-rated in the Eclipse Jet.
"The Contrails program that Jamail [Larkins] has built is really an incredible opportunity for a lot of Cirrus pilots to take a look at their natural step up aircraft," says Alan Klapmeier, CEO of ONE Aviation. "They cannot only get to know the speed, safety, and efficiency of the Eclipse Jet without purchasing the aircraft, but they can be typed in the Eclipse and get to know how seamless it is to transition from a piston or turboprop. We think that this will really open up a new customer segment."
Ascension Air offers customers of the Contrails program training, professional aircraft management, a safety pilot to fly the Eclipse with them, streamlined scheduling, and easy access to their Eclipse fleet.
"The Contrails program will build on the success of our current timeshare programs. Using the same model, we will bring access to personal jet transportation to an ever growing number of pilots that want the benefits of flying a jet without the worry of jet ownership," says Ascension Air president and CEO Jamail Larkins. "We will take delivery of the first of our Eclipse Jets next week and are very excited about the launch of this program."
The Eclipse 550 personal jet features best in class performance, economics, and safety. With the ability to fly at altitudes up to 41,000 feet at a max cruise of 430 mph, while only consuming 59 gallons of fuel per hour, the Eclipse 550 is an efficient twin-engine jet, with a maximum range of 1,125 miles. Ascension Air will offer the Eclipse 550 through timeshare, lease and jetcard programs.
