StandardAero LAX Completes First Embraer Legacy 650 ADS-B Installation

StandardAero completes its first certified ADS-B solution for an Embraer Legacy 650 aircraft at the company’s Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) MRO facility. Along with the ADS-B installation, StandardAero also completes a full Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) GPS upgrade. Both upgrades were performed through Embraer Service Bulletins.

“We continue to see an increasing number of requests for our affordable ADS-B solutions for a wide variety of airframes,” says Jerry Sanders, Avionics Product director for StandardAero Business Aviation. “As a result of these recent upgrades, this Embraer Legacy operator now meets the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) and Eurocontrol’s 2020 ADS-B mandate.”

Benefits of this system include increased fuel efficiency through better aircraft routing, along with increased safety and situational awareness for business aviation pilots.
