
Valair Aviation Announces New Director of Maintenance and New Manager of Compliance and Continuous Improvement

Valair Aviation, a full-service MRO and FBO facility at Wiley Post Airport, expands its management team, designating Nic Hawker director of Maintenance and Michael Dussault manager of Compliance and Continuous Improvement.

Hawker is an aircraft MRO management professional with over 15 years of experience. He brings extensive knowledge and training to this role, where he will provide overall direction to Valair’s MRO functions, ensuring that quality and production goals are met. In his most recent role as director of maintenance for Commuter Air Technology (CAT), Hawker was responsible for all maintenance performed on CAT’s CONUS and OCONUS Special Mission/ISR King Air fleet. During his tenure with CAT, he established and supervised the CAT Oklahoma City maintenance facility with a team of two aircraft technicians and the multiple CAT OCONUS maintenance sites with 12 aircraft technicians and six avionics technicians.
Dussault joins Valair with over 30 years of progressive experience and successful contributions in aircraft maintenance and quality assurance management. In his role as manager of Compliance and Continuous Improvement, Dussault will manage the quality system, ensuring that all products, processes and services meet the regulatory requirements for agencies such as ISO and FAA.
Prior to Valair, Dussault served as the senior Quality Assurance manager for Lockheed Martin Corporation where he managed the quality assurance Industrial Product Vendor program directly supporting the U.S. Air Force Production Depot Aircraft Maintenance program. Dussault earned his Bachelor of Science-Business Administration from the University of Phoenix following a 20-year career with the United States Air Force in aircraft maintenance.
