West Star Aviation Receives STC for Upgrade to the Honeywell CAS-100B TCAS II with 7.1 Software

West Star Aviation receives supplemental type certificate (STC) for the upgrade of the Honeywell CAS-81A/TPA-81A or the CAS-100A/TPA-100A with 7.0 software to the CAS-100B/TPA-100B with 7.1 software.

This approved model list (AML) STC is applicable to various Hawker, Citation, Challenger, Falcon, and Gulfstream aircraft models. TCAS II 7.1 software improvements include the level off and reversal logic functions. Europe mandated the new software requirements effective December 2015. There is no proposed FAA mandate for TCAS 7.1 at this time.

"This is West Star's first STC that has been approved using our newly issued ODA," said Marty Rhine, director of Sales. "The flexibility of this STC offers West Star Aviation additional possibilities to add new business."
