Duncan Aviation Names Kelly Werth as New Customer Service Manager in Provo
Duncan Aviation announces that long-time member of Duncan Aviation’s Paint teams, Kelly Werth, will be heading the Customer Service department at the company’s full-service facility in Provo, UT.
Joining the Paint team in Lincoln, NE, in 2005 while going to school for an associate’s degree in auto collision, Werth has taken on increasingly more responsibility and greater leadership roles at the company, leading up to his most recent position as manager of the Paint department in Provo.
“I am thrilled that Kelly has the opportunity to channel his passion into delivering exceptional customer service,” says Duncan Aviation’s vice president of Customer Service, Chad Doehring. “By working more closely with the project managers in Provo and our customers, he will be key to driving our commitment to excellence.”
After getting his start at Duncan, Werth moved steadily from paint assistant to master paint specialist and crew lead, a role he took on in Nov. 2011. In Oct. 2018, he was offered the position as team leader at the company’s newly opened paint hangar in Provo. The new role required relocating Werth’s young family from Lincoln, NE, and leading a group of paint technicians who were experienced but had never before worked together. Werth balanced the need to quickly transform the talented techs into a team while working directly with customers, making sure he and his team could keep projects moving and meet customers’ tight deadlines.
Throughout his nearly 19 years at Duncan, Werth has developed good relationships with his fellow team members and leaders alike. He’s made no secret about how much he enjoys working for both Duncan Aviation and the teams he’s been on and lead, while getting to know numerous customers along the way.
“During many of the years I’ve worked here, we’ve put in 10-12 hours a day of decently physical work, and that gives you a lot of time to build camaraderie with your team, really assess the work you’re doing, and develop a sense of pride in what the company has achieved over the years,” says Werth. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to build accountable teams who are driven to meet and exceed the needs of our customers and uphold the company’s stellar reputation in the industry.”
In Werth’s rare downtime, he and his wife, Dani, spend time outdoors with their two children, Kennedy and Mason. They take full advantage of the many outdoor activities within minutes of their home.
“We are 20 minutes from the ski resorts, and my son and I have really gotten into mountain biking,” says Werth. “With all the mountain trails and ski resorts virtually in our backyard, we haven’t been camping as much as we used to, but we really enjoy that, too.”
