Duncan Aviation’s Hangar Doors Are Open During The Final Two Weeks Of 2019

Duncan Aviation would like to remind aircraft owner/operators that although there are seven weeks and two business days until January 1, 2020, the reality is, many aviation vendors and shops close for the last two weeks of the year. Owner/operators who need parts, components, and modifications from various vendors may find that they’re unable to procure them during the last two weeks of 2019.

Duncan Aviation has stock on piece parts, system components, and modifications—from parts all the way up to bulk-buy purchases. For instance, the company has Universal Flight Management System (FMS) units in stock and can perform the upgrades to Wide Area Augmentation System/Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance (WAAS/LPV).

“We will not have to rely on interfacing with vendors during those last two weeks of the year,” says Duncan Aviation’s manager of Satellite Operations Matt Nelson. “Not only do we have the stock available, we also have an Avionics Bench here in Lincoln that’s capable of performing upgrades and modifications on most manufacturers’ units.”

What this means for the FAA’s January 1, 2020, deadline for upgrading to Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) is that Duncan Aviation’s Avionics Bench can perform modifications and upgrades in-house. If you haven’t yet upgraded but don’t want to be flying low or sitting on the ground on January 1, 2020, remember that Duncan Aviation has numerous certified paths to upgrade equipment to comply with the FAA’s ADS-B mandate, as it holds or has access to 42 STCs for dozens of aircraft models.

As service and support options throughout the holidays become limited, all three of Duncan Aviation’s full-service facilities (Battle Creek, Michigan, Lincoln, Nebraska or Provo, Utah) and all of its 27 Satellite Avionics Shops and workaway stations will be open during the last two weeks of the year. Some of the Satellite Avionics Shops have time and hangar space available (or will come to your hangar) to perform the necessary upgrades to get you in compliance by the FAA’s January 1, 2020 mandate deadline.

If you’ve scheduled time to perform an inspection or routine maintenance on your aircraft, that’s the perfect time to get our experienced Satellite Avionics techs to drop by your hangar and upgrade your aircraft to ADS-B. Duncan Aviation’s technicians around the country have performed hundreds of upgrades and can turn aircraft in 10 days or less. Duncan Aviation is also passing along available vendor credits for Service Bulletins and rebates that expire on 12/31.
