Duncan Aviation Satellites Offer Slot Program for Gogo Legacy ATG to AVANCE Upgrades/Installations

Duncan Aviation is offering a slot program that designates capacity at one of its satellite locations for upgrades/installations of a Gogo AVANCE Wi-Fi system. The program lets operators select a favorable time slot at the satellite facility of their choice and ensures they can complete the installation before their older equipment no longer supports connectivity.

Duncan Aviation has long made it easy for customers to discover the power of the Gogo Business Aviation AVANCE Wi-Fi system, either the AVANCE L3 or AVANCE L5, whether upgrading from one of Gogo’s classic air-to-ground (ATG) systems or installing an AVANCE system for the first time. With dozens of STCs for dozens of makes/models, the technicians at any of Duncan Aviation’s 30+ satellites can hook operators up with inflight connectivity, entertainment features, 3D moving maps, remote support, and a future-ready design.

Because legacy ATG (8000, 5000, 4000, 2000, and 1000) equipment is unable to connect to Gogo’s Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, the older technology won’t be supported beyond early 2026 when the network transitions completely to LTE and 5G. Without access to a network, aircraft with legacy ATG equipment will no longer have in-flight connectivity.

Upgrading to the AVANCE L3 from an ATG system requires a simple box swap — removing the ATG line replacement unit (LRU) and replacing it with the AVANCE L3 LRU. Downtime for the upgrade, in most cases, is five business days. Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certification Services has developed supplemental type certificates (STCs) covering the equipment upgrade from Gogo’s legacy ATG systems to the newer AVANCE L3 system for the Falcon 2000 and Hawker 800XP aircraft.

The AVANCE L5 features full streaming capabilities in addition to inflight email, text, and phone capabilities. Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certification Services has developed STCs covering the Wi-Fi certification and full equipment and antenna installation of the Gogo AVANCE L5 in the following makes/models:

  • Cessna Citation 680 and 750
  • Bombardier CL 300, 350, 601-3A, 601-3R, 604, 605 and 650
  • Bombardier GLEXs, XRS, 5000 and 6000
  • Gulfstream G-IV, G300, G400, GIV-X, G350 and G450
  • Dassault Falcon 900, 900C and 900EX (EASy, LX, DX)
  • Dassault Falcon 2000 and 2000EX (EASy, DX, LX, LXS, S)

In addition to FAA approval, all of Duncan Aviation’s STCs for the AVANCE L3 and L5 have received Transport Canada (TCCA) approval.
