Job Title: Electronics Technician ($20-$30/hr)Job DescriptionJoin a dynamic team as an Electronics Technician, where you will troubleshoot to the component level, utilizing schematic diagrams to isolate failures in both analog and digital circuitry. You will set up test apparatus, conduct tests of electronic circuit card assemblies, and lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications. This role requires adjustments and calibration of systems, correction of malfunctions, and the use of hand and small power tools, along with various measuring and testing devices to evaluate performance of products and equipment.Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electronic components at the board level.
  • Utilize schematic diagrams to isolate failures in analog and digital circuitry.
  • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests of electronic circuit card assemblies.
  • Lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.
  • Adjust and calibrate systems as required.
  • Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed.
  • Use hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties.
  • Determine types of tests to be performed, approve and suggest modifications to testing equipment, and analyze test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Troubleshooting, especially at the component level.
  • Experience with radio frequency and RF testing.
  • Proficient in using test equipment/software such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Multimeters, Signal Generators, and Power Analyzers.
  • Strong knowledge of Solid State devices and micro-circuitry.
  • Experience using Automated Test Equipment.
  • Familiarity with Radar Systems.

Additional Skills Qualifications

  • Proficient in component level troubleshooting of solid state, digital, and RF circuits.
  • Able to use Microsoft Suite and other data collection programs to accurately document maintenance actions.
  • 4 years of direct experience.
  • Flying probe/high power test experience.

The facility is climate controlled and air-conditioned. The first shift is from 5am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday, with Fridays scheduled off. The second shift is from 3:30pm to 2am Monday to Thursday, also with Fridays scheduled off.Job Type LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of OLDSMAR, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
