Elliott Aviation Expands Services and Adds Fourth Facility with Acquisition of Atlanta-Based MRO, The Maintenance Group

Elliott Aviation, a provider in business-aviation services since 1936, announces it has acquired the Atlanta-based MRO, The Maintenance Group. The Maintenance Group has been successfully operating at the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK) in Atlanta, GA, for over 25 years.

The acquisition of The Maintenance Group adds the following additional airframe service capabilities to Elliott Aviation’s portfolio of qualifications:

  • Gulfstream G550/G450/G-V/G-IV/G-III/G-280/G-200/G-150/G-100
  • Falcon 2000/50/50EX
  • and Bombardier Challenger 350/600/601/650.

In addition to the aforementioned aircraft maintenance capabilities, Elliott Aviation’s current facilities in Moline (MLI), Des Moines (DSM), and Eden Prairie (FCM) are authorized service facilities for Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP, Hawker, King Air and Premier. It is also an authorized service center for Embraer Legacy 400/500, Phenom 100/300, and TBM. Additionally, the company regularly utilizes its approvals within its 145 Repair Station for Challenger 300/604/605, several Learjet models, and most models of Cessna Citation.

The Maintenance Group is equipped to handle major airframe inspections, structural repairs and modifications, wing corrosion repair, DAR import/export airworthiness approvals, STC installation and certification projects, and pre-purchase inspections. It adds an additional 40,000+ square feet to Elliott Aviation’s nationwide footprint.

“Elliott Aviation has been on a mission to expand our MRO footprint to a southeast-based maintenance location and increase our capabilities to new airframes for nearly a year,” says Greg Sahr, CEO of Elliott Aviation. “We are happy to welcome a highly talented group of experienced maintenance technicians in a geography that will help us expand our overall maintenance capabilities. We’ve built our 85-year-old brand on providing unmatched quality, uncompromising integrity, and unbeatable service, and we’re looking forward to providing this same level of great service to both our customers and employees in Atlanta.”

“For 25 years, we’ve built long-standing partnerships with customers in the Atlanta metro area and throughout the United States. Customers have trusted us because they know they can receive excellent service at a fair price,” says Dan Furlong, owner of The Maintenance Group. “We’re happy to partner with Elliott Aviation because they share the same values that have driven our company since the ‘90s.”

Elliott Aviation has three additional locations, including Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; and its one-stop shop headquarters in Moline, IL. It is also the parent company of the aircraft sales and brokerage brand, Elliott Jets, and the manufacturing brand, Elliott Technologies.
