Elliott Aviation Promotes Bill Forbes to Avionics Sales Director

Elliott Aviation, an avionics retrofitter and a provider in aviation MRO services, has promoted Bill Forbes to director of Avionics Sales. Forbes will oversee all avionics sales at Elliott Aviation’s three facilities which employ over 50 avionics technicians.

Forbes joined the avionics sales team in 2018 as avionics sales manager and has helped lead the company’s Garmin G1000 NXi, Garmin G5000 and Collins Aerospace Pro Line 21™ modernization programs. He has also been instrumental in the company becoming a top-five Gogo dealer.

“We’re excited to have Bill take the lead of our avionics sales team,” says Greg Sahr, CEO of Elliott Aviation. “He has earned the trust of the operations team and has been instrumental in our success as Garmin’s leading G1000 NXi and G5000 programs and Pro Line 21 modernization. He also has a great vision to enhance our avionics OEM partnerships to offer new avionics solutions to more airframe operators.”

Forbes has 25 years of aviation management experience. Before joining Elliott Aviation, he was the VP of Operations for Executive Aircraft Maintenance in Scottsdale, AZ, where he led a team that received the Garmin Platinum award 10 years in a row. Earlier in his career, he served as avionics manager for Cutter Aviation in Phoenix, AZ, where he led the facility to be the top-performing avionics facility in the southwest for multiple avionics brands for four years in a row.

Elliott Aviation has completed over 370 Garmin G1000 and G1000 NXi installations and nearly 130 legacy G1000 to G1000 NXi upgrades in King Airs, over 50 Garmin G5000 installations in Citation Excel/XLS and Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP, and over 40 Pro Line 21 modernizations in Hawker, Premier I/IA and King Air.
