Embraer Celebrates 20 Years of Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services Operations

This week in Nashville, TN, Embraer celebrates the 20th anniversary of Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services (EAMS). Opened in 2002, EAMS provides comprehensive airframe services for all heavy maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, checks and structural repairs, modifications, supplemental type certificates (STCs), aircraft bridging and lease returns.

“Today we celebrate 20 years of excellence in customer support. I’m proud of the work provided by EAMS to its customers and our partners. On behalf of all of Embraer’s employees from service and support organizations around the world, I want to congratulate our colleagues at EAMS,” says Johann Bordais, president and CEO, Embraer Services and Support.

Throughout the years, EAMS has grown to be the world’s leading provider of heavy maintenance for Embraer commercial aircraft. The facility serves half of the global E-Jets fleet and 80% of the North American E-Jets fleet.

“EAMS has been paramount in supporting a growing fleet of E-Jets in the last 20 years. With the great success of the E175, and previously with the ERJs fleets, EAMS has been and will continue to be a wonderful place to maintain customer aircraft. Customers know that at EAMS they will find the best service provided by any manufacturer,” says Frank Stevens, vice president, Global MRO Centers, Embraer Services and Support.

EAMS handles component and AOG requests from around the world and, in a typical year, processes more than 10,000 repair orders, completes 180,000 maintenance tasks, and collects 10 million service data points that help to continually improve Embraer’s technical knowledge.

EAMS is a certified repair center operating under the most important regulatory authorities around the world, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the U.S., the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) in Brazil, among many others.
