As a Assembly Mechanic - Level 1 here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for assembling, disassembling, and testing various components and systems for aerospace applications. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability, contributing to the safety and efficiency of air travel. We’re looking for a dependable and motivated General Mechanic to join our team in an entry-level capacity. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build foundational mechanical skills. Your primary focus will be disassembling mechanical components and cleaning parts to support our maintenance and repair operations.You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will impact the production process by ensuring that all assembly tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, helping to maintain our reputation for excellence in the aerospace industry.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble and test aerospace components and systems according to specifications.
  • Disassemble mechanical parts and assemblies using basic hand tools.
  • Clean components using solvents, degreasers, and cleaning equipment.
  • Organize and label cleaned parts for inventory or reassembly.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Work flexible hours including overtime and weekends when required.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of production goals.

  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of assembly techniques and processes.
  • Mechanical aptitude or interest in learning mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in assembly work.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Basic understanding of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Availability for overtime and weekend shifts is a must.

  • Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to grease, oil, and cleaning agents.
