Fokker Services Group Upgrades Component Services Facilities in Europe and the USA

Fokker Services Group (FSG), a global provider in aircraft maintenance, modifications, completions and conversions, completes a major modernization of its component testing, repair and overhaul facility at Schiphol, strategically located within the largest airport hub in the Netherlands and the third largest in Europe.
The initiative includes extensive renovations, layout optimizations, and equipment upgrades across the avionics, mechanical, hydraulics, integrated drive generator (IDG), and pneumatics repair shops at Schiphol. These enhancements reinforce the company’s commitment to delivering efficient, high-quality support for global operators.
Now equipped with advanced x-ray machines, ATEC 6 systems, a flying probe, and other cutting-edge technology — alongside decades of expertise in avionics — FSG's investment enhances its value proposition in the highly competitive avionics testing, repair and overhaul market, with a particular focus on screens and instruments for A320 and B737NG platforms.
The modernization follows the inauguration of FSG’s second IDG repair shop, located in LaGrange, GA, USA, which was launched in 2024 to address growing demand for IDG repair support in the Americas. The USA facility, located at Fokker Services America, operates under proprietary agreements with Collins Aerospace and features advanced repair and testing capabilities for CF6, CF34 and V2500 engines, with planned expansion to CFM56 coming later in 2025, and further expansion to LEAP and PW1000G platforms in 2026-27.
Both facilities share technology, proprietary know-how, and best practices and are committed to similar on-time delivery (OTD) promises, ensuring seamless service and increased capacity for global operators.
“The revamped component services building and new avionics shop will solidify our position in the market and pave the way for future expansion, enhance the customer experience, and boost efficiency, strengthening our position as the partner of choice for our customers who rely on a flexible and dependable approach, especially in these times of shortages,” says Dirk Hanenberg, managing director of Component Services at FSG.
“These initiatives really reflect two of the core values we’re most proud of," says Menzo van der Beek, CEO of FSG. "We are focused on delivering global excellence for our customers and, at the same time, caring deeply for our employees. With this project, we’ve successfully met both goals, both in Europe as well as in the U.S.”
