Industry Events Still Affected by COVID-19

It appears that what was a common theme in 2020 is continuing for now — the cancellation or postponement of industry events.

HAI announced it is cancelling HELI-EXPO 2021. It was originally scheduled to take place March 23-25 in New Orleans. HAI chose to cancel the show instead of postponing it. HAI says it will focus its efforts on HELI-EXPO 2022 which is scheduled to take place March 7-10, 2022 in Dallas, TX. You can go to their announcement HERE to learn more.

The Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) also announced that its conference which was originally scheduled for March 15-18 in Dallas has been postponed to June 22-25.

As of this writing, MRO Americas, which is scheduled for April 27-29 in Orlando, FL, is still on. However, the Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC) which usually takes place in conjunction with MRO Americas has announced that the 2021 event is cancelled for this year. You can read more about that announcement HERE.

It appears that IA Renewal seminars are also being affected by the ongoing COVID-19 saga. The Wisconsin Aviation Maintenance Technician Refresher & IA Renewal Seminar has cancelled its live event. Instead, it will host a Virtual Conference this year.

Let's hope a return to some semblance of normality happens this year. Taking part in a virtual trade show or conference isn't the same as attending a live event.

I have my masks and hand sanitizer ready. I'm anxiously waiting for that first opportunity to get back out there again!

Thanks for reading!

Joe
